SRH vs MI, IPL 2024: Hyderabad beats Mumbai by 31 runs, 523 runs scored in the match.

Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Mumbai Indians by 31 runs in the 8th match of IPL 2024. Hyderabad registered its first win of the season. Whereas Mumbai Indians lost the second consecutive match and their account has not been opened in the points table.

In the 8th match of IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Mumbai Indians. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad made a record-breaking score of 277 runs in 20 overs. In response, Mumbai team could only score 246 runs and Hyderabad won by 31 runs. Although Mumbai batsmen batted well in the match and gave a tough fight to Hyderabad, but in the end the victory went to SRH. Let us inform you that a total of 523 runs were scored in this match which is a world record. Total 38 sixes were hit in the match, this is also a world record.

Hyderabad’s victory

The victory of Sunrisers Hyderabad was decided by its batsmen. Heinrich Klaasen scored the highest score of 80 unbeaten runs in 34 balls. 7 sixes came off Klaasen’s bat. Abhishek Sharma scored 63 runs from 23 balls, this player also hit 7 sixes. Travis Head hit 62 runs in 24 balls. Apart from this, Aiden Markram scored 42 not out.

Mumbai batsmen’s performance

Mumbai batsmen also showed their mettle on a batting friendly wicket. Tilak Verma played innings of 64 runs in 34 balls. Tim David also scored 42 not out. Ishaan Kishan tried to challenge Hyderabad by scoring 34 runs in 13 balls and Naman Dhir scored 30 runs in 14 balls. But the slow innings of Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya cost the team heavily. Pandya scored only 24 runs at a strike rate of 120.

Bad condition of the bowlers

The bowlers were in bad condition in the match between Mumbai and Hyderabad. There were four such bowlers who conceded more than 50 runs. Quena Mafaka was beaten the most, who gave away 66 runs in 4 overs. Gerald Kotzaya gave away 57 runs in 4 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave 53 runs in 4 overs whereas Mayank Markandey gave 52 runs in 4 overs.

The condition of Mumbai is bad

Mumbai Indians have suffered their second consecutive defeat and due to this they have slipped to 9th position in the points table. Sunrisers Hyderabad has improved its net run rate by winning by 31 runs and is now at third position in the points table.
